pplCRM
About us

Software for the people who show up.

pplCRM is one list for constituents, voters, donors and volunteers, built for the offices, campaigns and non-profits that hold communities together.

Why we built it

The gap between a spreadsheet and an enterprise contract.

Walk into a constituency office, a local campaign headquarters or a small non-profit and you will usually find the same thing: a heroic spreadsheet. Casework in one tab, donors in another, last year’s volunteers in a file somebody’s predecessor emailed around. It works until it doesn’t, and it always stops working in the busiest week of the year.

The alternatives were not built for this work. Sales CRMs want to move deals to "closed", but a constituent is never closed. Enterprise political tech is priced for national organizations and takes a consultant to set up. Email platforms charge for every contact you store and quietly own your list on the way through.

So we built the tool we kept wishing existed: one shared list where the person who knocked a door, gave twenty dollars and emailed about a pothole is one person, not three rows in three systems. Simple enough that a volunteer is productive their first morning. Priced so a two-person office can afford it. And honest about the one thing that matters most: the list is yours, not ours.

pplCRM is built in Canada by a small independent team. Your data lives in Canada unless you choose another region on the Movement plan, everything exports whenever you want, and delete means deleted. We would rather keep those promises than grow fast by breaking them.

What we believe

Six principles the product answers to.

Relationships, not pipelines

Sales CRMs exist to move deals to “closed”. Community work never closes: the same people, the same streets, year after year. Everything in pplCRM is shaped by that one difference.

Your people are not our product

We charge money for software. That is the whole business model. We never sell, share, rent or mine the people in your workspace, and we never will.

Plain language everywhere

Buttons say what they do. Disabled things explain what they are waiting for. Volunteers should be productive their first morning, without a training budget.

Built for the field

The work happens at doors and on driveways, not just at desks. Turfs, routes and the companion apps are first-class parts of the product, not bolt-ons.

Priced for real budgets

Constituency offices, local campaigns and small non-profits do not have enterprise budgets. Unlimited contacts on every plan; you pay only for features and email subscribers.

Easy to leave

Everything exports to plain CSV on every plan, whenever you want. A tool you can leave in an afternoon is a tool that has to keep earning your trust.

The promises behind these principles are written down, in plain language, on our data ownership, privacy and security pages.
